A time for change.....

Hi folks, Amanda is currently sitting for her 'O' levels exams. She will be finished mid June. After that, we have to make the decision where she will go, and what she will do. The options are mind boggling - "A" levels, matriculation, SATs.....we have been getting good advice from friends who have gone through the same experience. So, the mind is working and working, thinking and thinking, considering this and that.....

The heart....is not doing so good. It's feeling kinda heavy - knowing that a change in the family is going to happen, it's inevitable. Thinking of my baby no. 1( I know....I'm hopeless when it comes to my kids) leaving home makes me panic. I know millions of mums in the world have gone through the same thing. I hope I will be strong and calm when the time comes.....not a bawling mess which I can very well be if left to the promptings of my heart.

Changes....you can't stop it, just like you cant stop the sun from setting. I was watching Star Wars with my 5 year old. Anakin's mum said that to him when he left home to be trained as a Jedi. Letting go....sigh...it's TOUGH!

I know the brothers will miss the sister. They looked to her for leadership ( though they will never admit it) I will miss singing with her, talking and joking together.

I know she has not yet leave the house....it's just mummy preparing for the next phase of motherhood and writing about it helps....so bear with me OK?
