The Pink Flower

I was reading a book, lying next to my 5 year old. It's our chill out time. He brings all his soft toys on my king sized bed. We read a book together. Then I read my book and he plays quietly with toys, enacting quiet fights among them (!)

Anyway, he suddenly looked over at me and asked, Are you reading a love book for your husband?

I looked at the cover of my book. Its title is: Sacred Influence - How God uses Wives to Shape the Souls of Their Husbands.

I was intrigued. How did he know it is a 'love book for you husband?'

So I asked him.

He said, the cover of the book is pink so it is about love. The picture on the book is a big flower so it means mummy giving a flower to daddy because she loves him.

Voila! So Simple....duh....

Never under estimate the power of observation of a child.

By the way, it is a very good book, author is Gary Thomas. He also wrote Sacred Marriage and Sacred Parenting. I am much inspired.....

Everybody wave and sing Goodbye!

Hi folks, the title is the goodbye song of the Imagine That Kindermusik class. I sang it for the last time two Saturdays ago. I stopped teaching.....hopefully for just a while while I take a breather. It wasn't a easy decision to take after teaching so long. I have grown to love the kids very much. I have grown to love teaching them. Personally it has been a great learning experience of knowing the musical aspect of myself.

It has free up my weekends. I went on a short break to Ipoh and Penang over the weekend and stuff myself silly with food. It gives me more time with my family on saturday mornings and hubby is happy he doesn't have to be mum, dad, driver and lunch provider on saturdays anymore.

I want to thank the parents who have been so supportive of me all this while. There are some who started with me from day one and with me right to the last class. Started with Milk and Cookies (Our Time) and finish Young Child 3 with me. I told a friend that I will probably bawl my eyes out when it's time for me to bid goodbye and I did. Thank God I didn't scare the kids!

Anyway, this is not the end of the journey. Just stopping at the R and R to take a short breather. Watch out for this space......tee hee
