The Cross

Adam, my 5 year old, have been having a tough time lately. Very anxious about the safety of himself and his loved ones. It all started with a nightmare that involved Totally Spies girls! He woke up one night two weeks ago, crying about something...he cant even tell us. The next day, he told us a confusing story of Totally Spies and me and him and daddy.

Anyway, since that night, he is always asking us...whether will bad guys come and get him, what will they do, is the house alarm on...and he will get us to pray with him many times a day against bad guys and bad dreams.

I have been comforting him by telling him that Jesus is always there to protect him.

Last night, I got a brain wave. I asked him whether he would like to wear a cross, just to remind him that Jesus is always with him. He agreed and I managed to find one in my jewelry box...a small one just nice for him to wear.

He wore it to school today, proud and eager to show his friends and teachers. After school, I asked him whether he shared about why he is wearing the cross to his friends.

He said...Yeah...I told them that if the bad guys come, I will use the sharp ends of the cross to poke them in the eye!

Aiyoyo!

Babies and more babies!

I am very honoured to be part of a beautiful and meaningful event in a dear friend's life. Last Tuesday, the 29th of July....I was in the labour room with her. Her husband was overseas, the baby came earlier than expected and I told her that I will be with her if she went into labour...and SHE DID!! Baby Yee Lynn was born on Tuesday at noon time...the sweetest and most beautiful baby I have seen for a long time. She is so tiny, so fragile, and so complete...I cried when the baby was scooped to her mummy's arms.

Sms my husband the good news and he replied....Congrats! You are a new dad!

Seriously, this baby will always hold a special place in my heart. I have already fallen in love with her. She is just so adorable....

AND, this tuesday...the 5th of August, I became a GODMA! Yeah! To baby Lucas, first born of Cheryl and Dylan. I have yet to visit them because they live far away but I have seen his photo. Can't wait to hold him in my arms.....

I AM SO BLESSED!
