Half dead half alive!

Adam has a penchant of asking his friends whether they are Christians. He is very concerned whether his friends will eventually go to heaven and be with him forever and ever.

He was been asking a certain friend that he plays with quite often in the park....are you a christian? The poor boy said no the first time. But our friend here keep on asking him....why are you not a christian?

Well today. the friend decided he wanted to cover all grounds. He told Adam....Adam, I believe in all Gods OK?

Adam looked at him straight in the eye and said....then you will be half dead and half alive when you go to heaven!

Because you only half believe in Jesus.......

Vo-ca-bu-la-ry!

Hi, my 5 year old son ( 5 going 20!) loves to ask us meaning of words he doesn't understand. Mum....what does alert means? Mum...what does alarm means?

I got a pleasant surprise last night. He was playing with his toys and he asked me how to manipulate a certain device on the toy. I told him...you figure it out yourself. He turned to me and said....but mum, you are so INTELLIGENT!

Hah....he didn't say clever but used the word Intelligent....Mmm....pretty good eh for a 5 year old?

This afternoon, he wanted to tie a rubber band on a chopstick and then tie it on his wrist. I was too lazy to figure out how to do it (!!!!) and he sighed....OK then, I will ask Che Che...since she is more CREATIVE!

Wah.....I am quite impressed lor....tee hee!

I'm back.....

It's nice to be back teaching again......I have missed it....it feels different this time around, definitely less pressure and more liberating.....

Taking it slowly...

But, it's GOOD to be back!

O level results

Some of you knew that Amanda ( my 16 year old) was taking her O levels exams and a few of you prayed for her.

Well, her results came out about a week ago....she got 7As ( A* for Maths) and 2Bs!

We are mighty proud of her....we thank God for her good results, and we are just so glad that all her hard work paid off.

I was so happy....could have gone hug all her teachers who have helped her along the way.

Special thanks to Ms Angeline who stood by her since she started school.....she is the kind of teacher every kid needs in their school life...committed, hard working, caring, responsible, and always look out for the best in the child....

Don't change the husband!

Hi folks....Just realised I haven't posted any message for more than two weeks! Dearie me....where did the time go?

Anyway, my 5 year old said something so sweet and wise today.

Mummy....you must not change husband OK? Even if the new boy friend is more handsome that your husband, and he tells you "I love you" many times....

I didn't even get a chance to say anything before he continued...

Or I will cry and cry...I will cry at home, I will cry at school, I will cry at music class, I will cry all the time.....

Sigh....if only some adults in this world is as wise as him....

The Telephone

I found a new definition for the word 'telephone'.....through my my 5 year old son.

He told me one day...mum, WX( a classmate of his) is my telephone.

What do you mean?

When D ( his crush) and I have a fight, WX is our telephone. Because D and I won't talk to one another but still we want to tell each other some things, we will tell WX.

I will tell WX...tell D to say sorry to me.

D will tell WX...tell Adam he has to say sorry first!

KIDS! I know they fight and have cold wars at the time, but this is the first time I hear the role of the 'telephone'.

The Cross

Adam, my 5 year old, have been having a tough time lately. Very anxious about the safety of himself and his loved ones. It all started with a nightmare that involved Totally Spies girls! He woke up one night two weeks ago, crying about something...he cant even tell us. The next day, he told us a confusing story of Totally Spies and me and him and daddy.

Anyway, since that night, he is always asking us...whether will bad guys come and get him, what will they do, is the house alarm on...and he will get us to pray with him many times a day against bad guys and bad dreams.

I have been comforting him by telling him that Jesus is always there to protect him.

Last night, I got a brain wave. I asked him whether he would like to wear a cross, just to remind him that Jesus is always with him. He agreed and I managed to find one in my jewelry box...a small one just nice for him to wear.

He wore it to school today, proud and eager to show his friends and teachers. After school, I asked him whether he shared about why he is wearing the cross to his friends.

He said...Yeah...I told them that if the bad guys come, I will use the sharp ends of the cross to poke them in the eye!

Aiyoyo!
